New Services
Videostroboscopic analysis
We are pleased to offer Videostroboscopic analysis of the larynx and voice box in both our St. Thomas and St. Croix offices. This modern and minimally invasive procedure uses a strobe light to visualize the vocal folds. This can help quickly diagnose and treat most voice issues.
pH Probe Monitoring for Acid Reflux
For patients with acid reflux, we offer monitoring using the Restech DX-ph Probe™. This test identifies when, and for how long, stomach acid regurgitates into the esophagus or larynx. The test is ambulatory in nature so the patient can conduct normal activities as the probe measures acid levels throughout the day. Essentially, the pH probe is attached to the lower portion of the esophagus or the back of the nose using a special tube. The probe is then removed after the test is completed.
H. pylori Testing
We are now performing H. pylori testing with the Exalenz Breath ID System. This exciting new non-invasive test analyzes for the bacteria, Helicobacter pylori. Results are instantaneous and much more accurate than blood or stool testing.
